Lifelong Learning | Journey of Italians to America
FellowshipLIFE has partnered with Fairleigh Dickson University to bring you a unique opportunity for intellectual growth and enrichment. Our Lifelong Learning program will bring world class academics to teach stand alone courses on various topics.
This film viewing of Emanuele Crialese’s Nuovomondo (Golden Door, 2006) and lecture explore the different phases of Italian immigration to the United States — from recruiting workers at the end of the 19th century to imposing quotas in 1924 — in order to draw some general considerations on migrations of yesteryear and today.
