Adventure, discovery, and a passion for the outdoors continue to inspire Fellowship Village residents Bruce and Sara Schundler.

The couple, who became park rangers after retirement, were recently featured in the USA 2026 National Parks Special Edition, highlighting their unforgettable cross-country journey with their grandson, Myles. During their 2025 road trip, Bruce and Sara visited seven national parks, creating memories and experiencing some of the country’s most breathtaking landscapes along the way.

Their journey included a stay at Yellowstone National Park’s historic Old Faithful Lodge, where they were able to experience the iconic geyser just steps from their accommodations. As Bruce shared in the feature, “The beauty never wears off.”

For Bruce and Sara, retirement has been an opportunity to continue pursuing their passions, staying active, traveling, and embracing new adventures. Their story is a wonderful example of the vibrant lifestyle residents enjoy at Fellowship Village — where every day brings opportunities to learn, explore, and create meaningful memories.
