Charles Benjamin
Executive Director

Charles Benjamin is a highly experienced Long-Term Care Administrator and the Executive Director of Harrogate in Lakewood, New Jersey, a position he has held since December 2015. With decades of leadership in senior living and healthcare operations, he brings deep expertise in team development, regulatory compliance, financial management, and delivers exceptional resident satisfaction.
Charles was raised in Beachwood, New Jersey, and educated through the Toms River Regional Schools, graduating from Toms River High School South. He went on to attend Stockton State College, where he laid the foundation for his career in healthcare administration. After earning his Nursing Home Administrator’s License, he began his professional journey with the JFK Hospital system’s Senior Services Division. During his nearly decade-long tenure there, he developed strong operational and leadership skills that would shape the rest of his career.
Mr. Benjamin later took on leadership roles with his tenure at The Manor (a member of CentraState Health Care System in Freehold), Royal Suites Healthcare, and Willow Springs. In April 2015, he joined Harrogate as Associate Director and was promoted to Executive Director later that year.
At Harrogate, Mr. Benjamin oversees a Life Plan Community that includes 247 independent living residences and a 68-bed long-term care unit with specialized memory care services. Under his leadership, the organization has maintained a strong commitment to quality outcomes, operational efficiency, and a resident-centered approach to care.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Benjamin served as Administrator of Royal Suites Healthcare in Galloway, New Jersey, where he managed a 186-bed facility encompassing sub-acute, dementia, and long-term care units. His tenure at The Manor in Freehold, New Jersey, was marked by exceptional performance, including achieving a deficiency-free State Department of Health survey and a perfect 100% score from JCAHO. He also demonstrated measurable success in staff retention, customer satisfaction, and program growth.
His experience also includes leadership roles at JFK Hartwyck at Edison Estates and JFK Hartwyck at Oaktree, where he managed complex healthcare operations, including specialized units for traumatic brain injury, ventilator care, Huntington’s disease, adult day care services, and Alzheimer’s services. Beginning his career as an Assistant Administrator, he quickly established a reputation for operational excellence and strategic oversight.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Charles is actively engaged in his community. He is a past President of the Metuchen Rotary and a past Treasurer of the Lacey Township High School Wrestling Boosters. He is a past member of the Freehold Rotary Club. Charles serves on the Board of the National Foundation of Debt Management as well.
Outside of work, he enjoys fishing and boating, has a passion for great food, and is an avid New York Giants football fan.
Throughout his career, Mr. Benjamin has demonstrated a consistent ability to lead high-performing teams, maintain regulatory excellence, and drive positive outcomes for residents, families, and staff alike.

Jodie Medhaug
Director of Sales

Jodie grew up in Ocean City, New Jersey, and has been married for 37 years and has 2 adult children She has been part of the Harrogate community for more than 14 years. Before joining Harrogate, Jodie built her early career in the accounting field.
She began her journey at Harrogate in the Marketing Office as the Move-In Coordinator, later moving into a highly successful sales role. Her continued growth and dedication led her to become the Director of Sales.
Jodie’s impact on the senior community has been both meaningful and far-reaching. As Harrogate’s top sales consultant throughout every year of her sales tenure, she played a pivotal role in helping countless seniors and their families navigate one of life’s most important decisions with confidence and compassion.
Her ability to listen deeply, understand individual needs, and communicate clearly ensures that prospective residents feel supported from their very first conversation. Jodie consistently creates a welcoming, reassuring experience—one that helped families feel at ease during transitions that can often be emotionally complex.
Beyond her sales success, Jodie has been a strong advocate for enhancing quality of life for older adults. Her dedication to building trust, fostering community connection, and promoting the value of senior living has strengthened Harrogate’s reputation and contributed to a vibrant, engaged community for residents.
At every step, Jodie’s passion for serving seniors has translated into tangible, positive outcomes for the individuals and families she has guided.

Sharon Budde
Director of Lifestyle and Hospitality

Sharon Budde is the Director of Lifestyle and Hospitality at Harrogate Village, where she leads the creation of vibrant community experiences that enrich residents’ daily lives. With a passion for service, connection, and thoughtful programming, Sharon oversees lifestyle initiatives, events, and hospitality services designed to foster engagement, wellness, and a strong sense of community.
Known for her warm leadership style and attention to detail, Sharon works closely with residents, staff, and community partners to curate meaningful activities, celebrations, and social opportunities that reflect the diverse interests of the Harrogate Village community.
Her approach blends hospitality excellence with creative programming, ensuring that every experience—from everyday gatherings to signature events—feels welcoming, memorable, and inclusive.
With a background rooted in hospitality and resident engagement, Sharon brings both strategic vision and hands-on dedication to her role. She is committed to enhancing the overall resident experience at Harrogate Village by cultivating an environment where people feel connected, supported, and inspired to enjoy an active, fulfilling lifestyle.
Sharon Budde is a creative and energetic individual who finds joy in both staying active and expressing herself through art. She values a healthy lifestyle and especially enjoys long walks with her husband, Andy, appreciating the time outdoors and the simple moments they share together.
A naturally creative spirit, Sharon loves painting with acrylics, where she explores color, texture, and personal inspiration on canvas. Her artistic interests extend beyond painting into crafting and design, where she enjoys bringing ideas to life through hands-on projects and thoughtful creativity.
Family is at the heart of Sharon’s life. She takes great pride and happiness in being a grandmother to her two growing grandsons, cherishing the opportunity to watch them learn, grow, and discover the world. Whether she’s creating art, enjoying a walk, or spending time with family, Sharon brings warmth, creativity, and enthusiasm to everything she does.

Sharon Bellisano
Director of Environmental Services

Sharon Bellisano, Director of Environmental Services, brings a wealth of experience, dedication, and compassion to her role, shaped by a lifelong commitment to service and community. Born and raised in Newark, New Jersey, Sharon graduated from Eastside High School, where she built the foundation for her strong work ethic. She began her professional career as an administrative assistant for a distribution company, where she spent five years managing clerical operations and invoicing. During this time, she developed essential organizational and administrative skills that would serve her well throughout her career.
Sharon later relocated to Brick Township, New Jersey, where she has proudly resided for over two decades while raising her family. After moving to Ocean County, she continued her administrative career at Strober Lumber in Lakewood, working in the construction industry for four years. However, it was during this period that Sharon discovered her true passion: helping others—especially within the senior community.
Motivated by this calling, Sharon transitioned into the healthcare and environmental services field, beginning as a housekeeper at Shorrock Gardens (now Complete Care at Shorrock Gardens) in Brick. This role marked a turning point in her career, as she developed a deep interest in infection control and environmental safety.
In 2008, Sharon joined Harrogate, where she once again started as a housekeeper. Through dedication, hands-on experience, and mentorship from Skilled Nursing leadership, she gained extensive knowledge in environmental services operations, infection control, and team management. Over the course of ten years, Sharon distinguished herself through her leadership, commitment to excellence, and genuine care for residents and colleagues alike.
In 2018, Sharon was promoted to Director of Environmental Services, a role in which she continues to thrive. She is known as a strong, compassionate leader who fosters teamwork and takes great pride in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents and staff. Her passion for the senior community remains at the heart of everything she does.
In 2026, Sharon expanded her professional journey by joining the Coreworks team as part of the FellowshipLIFE organization, further enhancing her impact in the field.
Outside of her professional life, Sharon enjoys making chocolates and candy, cooking, listening to music, and attending live music events. Above all, she cherishes time spent with her family, her team members, and the residents she serves—relationships that continue to inspire her every day.
Sharon’s story is one of growth, purpose, and unwavering dedication to making a difference in the lives of others.

Dr. Jay Vida DO, FACP
Harrogate Medical Director
Dr. Jay A. Vida, DO, FACP, is a highly respected, board-certified internist and geriatric specialist with nearly four decades of experience in patient care. Renowned for his compassionate approach and clinical expertise, Dr. Vida has earned recognition for many years as a “NJ Top Doc,” reflecting his commitment to excellence in medicine and the trust he has built within the community. Dr. Vida received his medical degree in 1991 from Kansas City University.
He went on to complete his residency in Internal Medicine at Seaton Hall University and St. Michaels in Newark, NJ from 1992 to 1994, where he developed a strong foundation in comprehensive adult care. He is board-certified in both Internal Medicine and Geriatrics, underscoring his dedication to serving patients across the full spectrum of adult health, with a particular focus on the unique needs of older adults.
Throughout his career, Dr. Vida specializes in primary care and the management of chronic conditions, including diabetes, heart failure, and hypertension. He is known for his thorough, patient-centered approach, particularly when caring for individuals with complex medical needs. His experience in geriatric medicine allows him to provide thoughtful, coordinated care that enhances quality of life for seniors.
Dr. Vida practices at Ocean County Family Care in Brick, New Jersey and is affiliated with Hackensack Meridian Health Ocean University Medical Center. In addition to his clinical work, he has demonstrated a longstanding commitment to senior care, serving as Medical Director for Harrogate Village, a senior living, life plan community, for over 30 years. A two-time recipient of the NJ Top Doc distinction (2020 and 2022), Dr. Vida continues to be recognized for his leadership, experience, and unwavering dedication to delivering high-quality, compassionate healthcare.

Lisa Brosnan
Health Center Director of Nursing

Lisa Brosnan is the Director of Nursing at Harrogate and brings more than 25 years of progressive clinical and leadership experience across multiple areas of nursing, including acute care, home health, rehabilitation, and long-term care. She is recognized for her strong expertise in regulatory compliance, clinical operations, and quality and performance improvement, along with a demonstrated ability to manage and maintain operational budgets effectively.
Throughout her career, Ms. Brosnan has successfully developed and implemented several key initiatives. These include launching Certified Cardiac and Pulmonary programs within a rehabilitation setting, strengthening Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) programs, and leading the creation of a secured memory care unit at Harrogate. This secured unit was thoughtfully designed to provide residents with Alzheimer’s and Dementia, a safe, engaging, and homelike environment, supporting a kinder and more dignified journey through their disease process. Her unwavering commitment to residents, families, and staff has contributed to Harrogate’s consistent 5-Star rating.
Ms. Brosnan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and maintains multiple professional certifications, including Rehabilitation Nursing, Case Management, and NIH Stroke certification. In addition to her clinical accomplishments, she has received multiple professional awards, including Employee of the Year. She has also served on the Clinical Leadership Council within LCS Corporation and is an active member of the National Director of Nursing Organization.
Outside of her professional role, Lisa enjoys an active lifestyle within the sailing community of Island Heights, New Jersey and days at the Jersey Shore. She also enjoys traveling, and values time spent with friends and family, particularly with her partner Phil, daughters, Meagan and Abigail, and her granddaughter, Emma.

Frank Fantasia
Director of Plant Operations

Frank Fantasia is a results-driven facility and operations professional with extensive experience in plant operations, maintenance leadership, and construction management. Known for his hands-on expertise and strong leadership capabilities, Frank has built a career centered on operational efficiency, team coordination, and high-quality project execution across healthcare, industrial, and residential environments.
Since July 2025, Frank has served as Director of Plant Operations at Harrogate, where he has overseen facility systems, maintenance teams, and capital improvement projects with a focus on safety, compliance, and resident satisfaction. In April 2026, he transitioned to the FellowshipLIFE team as Director of Plant Operations under the CoreWorks subsidiary, continuing to expand his leadership impact across a broader organizational platform.
Frank brings a unique blend of field-level technical experience and executive-level management skills. His ability to lead cross-functional teams, communicate effectively with vendors and contractors, and proactively identify and resolve issues has consistently improved operational performance. He is highly skilled in managing multiple projects simultaneously, balancing timelines and budgets while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
Prior to his director-level roles, Frank served as a Maintenance Director at Complete Care, where he ensured timely completion of work orders, maintained critical facility systems, and led rapid response efforts for emergent maintenance needs. Concurrently, as the Owner/Operator of American Made Contracting LLC, he successfully managed a wide range of construction and renovation projects, overseeing everything from client relations and budgeting to execution and final delivery.
Earlier in his career, Frank worked as a Maintenance Mechanic with Union Boilermakers Local 28, gaining valuable experience in large-scale industrial environments, including oil refineries and nuclear power plants. His technical expertise includes welding, rigging, crane operations, and the use of specialized tools and equipment.
Frank’s diverse skill set spans leadership, property management, customer service, and trades including electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, and general construction. He is OSHA 30 certified and holds a New Jersey LLC business license.
A dedicated and adaptable professional, Frank Fantasia is recognized for his strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to perform under pressure, making him a valuable asset in any operations or facilities leadership role.

Stanley J. Morin, CPA
Chairman of the Board and Finance Chair
Mr. Morin currently serves as FellowshipLIFE’s chairman of the board and its affiliates. He is a certified public accountant with certifications in New Jersey, New York, South Carolina and Pennsylvania, and he is a shareholder of Stanley J. Morin, CPA PC.
Mr. Morin has over 40 years of experience in public accounting and taxation and is still active in the professional practice with offices in New Jersey, South Carolina and Pennsylvania. He has been a frequent speaker on various accounting, auditing, tax and estate-related topics. His concentrations are primarily in not-for-profit, corporate, and taxation matters. Mr. Morin is a graduate of Husson University in Bangor, Maine, with graduate work completed at Fairleigh Dickinson University. He is chairman of the board and finance committee of FellowshipLIFE. He serves and has served on the board and committees of various local and national not-for-profit and charitable organizations. He is a trustee/treasurer of the Jack Weisberg Charitable Foundation. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, New Jersey Society of Public Accountants, Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, South Carolina Board of Accountancy and a member of the International Chartered Global Management Accountant. He is an active member of the New Jersey State Society of CPAs, having served as a trustee, and was past chairman of the society’s professional conduct and ethics committees. Mr. Morin resides with his wife in Bluffton, SC, and has three children, three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Jeffrey J. Zenna, Esq., LLM
Vice Chairman of the Board
Mr. Zenna is an experienced plaintiff personal injury lawyer and a partner at Blume, Forte, Fried, Zerres, and Molinari, located in Chatham, New Jersey. He is a graduate of the City University New York School of Law.
After law school, he completed a judicial clerkship for the Honorable Mahlon Fast, J.S.C. Since joining the firm, he has received a Master of Laws degree from New York University School of Law.
Mr. Zenna is a member of the Essex, Hudson and Morris County bar associations. He was also admitted to the U.S. Court of Appeals (3rd Circuit). As a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, he lectured on their behalf with regard to trial advocacy, and in 2010 lectured for the New Jersey Association for Justice regarding the use of rebuttal testimony. Mr. Zenna has also been a member of the William J. Brennan, Jr. Inn of Court, since 1997. He is a long-standing member of the New Jersey chapter of The Miami Project, dedicated to the cure of paralysis, and he was approved in 2013 to sit on the New Jersey Supreme Court’s 10B Ethics Committee for Morris County for a four-year term.

Robert Fodera
Mr. Robert Fodera currently serves as a board member of FellowshipLIFE and is a member of the Board’s Audit Committee. He is a certified public accountant with certifications in New Jersey and New York and is a retired partner of Baker Tilly where he was partner in charge of the firm’s Metropark, NJ office.
Mr. Fodera has over 40 years of experience in public accounting and taxation and is still active in the profession with a small practice in New Jersey. He is active with the NJCPA and currently serves as treasurer of that organization’s scholarship fund. He has been a frequent speaker on the New Jersey Law and Ethics program and has been appointed to the State Board of Accountancy by Governor Phillip Murphy. Mr. Fodera’s practice concentrations include real estate, construction, legal and professional service firms, manufacturing and distribution industries, healthcare practices, and nonprofit and governmental organizations.
Mr. Fodera is a graduate of Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey. He has served on the board and committees of various local and national not-for-profit and charitable organizations. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New Jersey Society of Public Accountants. Mr. Fodera resides with his wife in Hillsborough, NJ and has two daughters and two grandchildren.

David G. Kostinas
David Kostinas is the owner of David G. Kostinas & Associates, a consulting company that has served New Jersey’s health care industry since 1985. Mr. Kostinas has represented New Jersey’s major health care providers in system development strategies, business brokering, new venture development, facility sales, acquisitions, mergers, and regulatory issues.
Mr. Kostinas has counseled clients for transplantation services, cardiac surgery, new psychiatric hospitals, major capital projects, free-standing ambulatory surgery centers, ESRD centers, linear accelerators, nursing homes, assisted living, medical day care centers, Life Plan Communities, cardiac care programs, and rehabilitation.
In addition to his professional positions, Mr. Kostinas has also been very involved in community activities. Mr. Kostinas served on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton for 23 years, including Chairman of Governance Committee and Chairman of Hamilton Continuing Care Center. Mr. Kostinas is Past Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Springpoint, Past Chairman and is a member of the Board of Trustees of Children’s Specialized Hospital and past member and officer of the Board of Directors of Integrity House.

Joseph Kamsar
Mr. Joseph Kamsar has been a resident of Harrogate since May 1, 2009, and is the past President of the Harrogate Resident Association. Joe was a high school and college Chemistry/Physics/Mathematics instructor and a school supervisor/administrator during his professional career. He served as President of the Toms River Education Association, Toms River Schools Administrators/Supervisors Association, Ocean County Council of Education Association, and the New Jersey Science Teachers’ Association. He has served on the executive boards of many state and national science education and general education organizations as well as the American Chemical Society. Joe served as a National Science Teachers’ Convention chair. He received the prestigious NJ Citation.
Award for a lifetime of service to science instruction and learning as well as has been a proponent of scientific research in New Jersey. He managed summer grant programs at the NJ Bell Laboratories and served with the National Science Foundation in Washington DC as well as being a consultant for the NJ DEP, Federal EPA, NJ State Department of Education, and NJ School Board Association. Joe also served as a hearing officer/administrative law judge in conflicts within associations and unions and has been an expert witness in court in the areas of both general chemistry and OSHA related safety issues. Joe has been a member of the Harrogate Board of Trustees from July 2019 through April 2026.

Brian G. Lawrence, LNHA, CPA, MBA
President and CEO

Mr. Lawrence is a distinguished leader in the healthcare and Life Plan Community/CCRC industry, with over 25 years of experience. He began his career at FellowshipLIFE, Inc. in 1999 as Chief Financial Officer and in recognition of his leadership abilities Mr. Lawrence assumed the additional role of Executive Vice President in 2006. With his keen understanding of the healthcare business and a decade of progressive leadership in the organization, Mr. Lawrence was appointed President and CEO in 2009, a position he holds to this day.
As a licensed nursing home administrator and certified public accountant, Mr. Lawrence brings a unique blend of financial and operational expertise to his role. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Seton Hall University, where he graduated magna cum laude, and an Executive Master of Business Administration in Finance from the prestigious Stern Graduate School of Business at New York University.
In his current capacity, Mr. Lawrence leads FellowshipLIFE’s senior leadership team and is responsible for the overall Healthcare, Medical and Wellness Services, Independent Living, and Home Community Based Services operations and performance. He actively participates with FellowshipLIFE and affiliates Board of Directors to ensure the execution of strategic planning and development initiatives. Mr. Lawrence’s unwavering commitment to providing exceptional care and services to older adults, while maintaining a focus on innovation, growth, and the sound financial health of the organization, is his top priority.
Mr. Lawrence’s remarkable accomplishments in the senior living industry have been widely recognized. He received the “President’s Award” from LeadingAge NJ in 2019, an honor reserved for outstanding leaders who have made significant contributions to the industry. Mr. Lawrence is a member of the American Society on Aging, LeadingAge, Healthcare Financial Management Association, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Mr. Lawrence resides in Millburn, New Jersey, with his wife, son, and daughter. He is a passionate advocate for the well-being of older adults and is dedicated to ensuring that FellowshipLIFE continues to provide the highest level of care and services for years to come.

William Slivka
William “Bill” Slivka is a respected leader in both the senior living and financial services communities, bringing decades of experience, dedication, and steady guidance to every role he has held. A founding Trustee of Harrogate Inc., Bill has been instrumental in shaping the organization’s growth and success for more than 37 years. Most recently serving as President of the Board of Trustees, he has helped guide Harrogate from its earliest days as a construction site to its current standing as a premier continuing care retirement community in Ocean County, New Jersey. Throughout periods of change, including evolving healthcare landscapes, economic fluctuations, demographic shifts, and a global pandemic, Bill’s leadership has helped ensure the community’s continued strength and vitality.
Bill began his professional career in 1969 as an estate, trust, and investment banker with First Trenton National Bank. Over a distinguished 35-year career, he remained with the same organization through five major mergers, ultimately retiring as Vice President and Managing Director at Wachovia Bank. In that role, he led an estate settlement group overseeing operations across New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut, earning a reputation for expertise, integrity, and client-focused service.
A graduate of Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Arts degree, Bill further enhanced his professional credentials through advanced programs with the American Banker/Northwestern University National Graduate Trust School and the Kellogg School of Management. His commitment to professional excellence and lifelong learning has been a hallmark of his career.
Beyond his professional achievements, Bill has been deeply engaged in community and industry organizations. He is a past President of the Central New Jersey Estate Planning Council and has served on the Executive Board of the Jersey Shore Council of the Boy Scouts of America. He has also been an active participant in LeadingAge National Conferences, reflecting his ongoing commitment to advancing the field of senior living.
Bill resides at Harrogate Village with Marsha, his wife of 58 years. Together, they have built a close-knit family. Their eldest daughter, along with her husband and two sons, lives in Michigan, while their younger grandchildren reside in North Carolina with their son-in-law. Bill remains devoted to his family and community, carrying forward a legacy of leadership, service, and care.

Michael Toscano
Michael Toscano is a finance executive with over 25 years of experience in public corporate finance, primarily in the travel industry. Mr. Toscano most recently served as the CFO for the travel and membership division of Travel + Leisure Co. for 8 years. Travel + Leisure Co is the world’s largest timeshare developer and timeshare exchange company, headquartered in Orlando Florida. In this role, Mr. Toscano was a key member of the executive leadership team for the business along with the division CEO and COO. He was responsible for a worldwide team of 200+ finance professionals in more than 10 countries. Prior to the segment CFO role, Mr. Toscano was SVP of Financial Planning & Analysis for the division for over 10 years.
Before Travel + Leisure, Michael worked for Wyndham Worldwide and Cendant Corporation, both of which were predecessors to T+L Co, serving in a variety of roles in corporate finance including leading the finance organization for Jackson Hewitt Tax Service.
Mr. Toscano started his career at Arthur Andersen’s Roseland NJ office in the audit practice. He has broad experience in finance, including audit, controllership, financial planning & analysis, and M&A. He is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in NJ.
Mr. Toscano has a BS in Accounting from Villanova University and an MBA from the Columbia Business School. He is an active supporter of his undergrad alma mater, serving as a member of their Accounting Advisory Board. He resides in Basking Ridge with his wife and 3 children. Mr. Toscano is an active supporter of St James Parish and School along with his wife Suzanne.

Peter Wright
Peter Wright brings a diverse professional background and deep New Jersey roots to
his role on the Harrogate Village Board. Born in South Orange and raised in Princeton,
he attended Princeton Crossroads Nursery School at the Institute for Advanced Study,
followed by Princeton Country Day School and The Lawrenceville School.
He earned his degree in economics from the University of Virginia, where he was
actively engaged in campus life. During the Vietnam War era, he served in Alaska,
reflecting a strong commitment to service.
Peter began his career on Wall Street with Shearson, Hammill & Drysdale before
founding his own advisory firm, where he built a successful practice focused on client
relationships and strategic guidance.
A lifelong connection to the Jersey Shore, including sailing on Barnegat Bay, ultimately
drew him back to Brielle, where he continues to enjoy the coastal lifestyle that has
shaped much of his life.
